Gundam Panzer Style! This time without the added fail brought on by CA kicker and overly aggressive laquers.

1/100 Master Grade GM-079 from BanDai.

Work in progress. Just got the paint done and assembled the frame and added the armor. The frame is done in buffed steel metalizer paint.

Next is: paint the pilot and cockpit, drill holes, add cabling, clear coat, decals, filter, seal, chip, panel line, pin wash, edge, weather, streak, and finally a top coat.

Very impressive and something I've considered doing myself.
Got a Zaku in the stash I've been thinking of giving a similar paint job along with spare panzer division markings.

Hhhhmmm. Maybe I'll finish that Guncannon and Guntank in Allied markings to go alongside it.

EXACTLY! I've been looking at different suits that are loosely representative of Axis and Allied powers. I too like the Zaku for my stormtrooper, and possibly the Gouf as a Russian. Something obnoxious like a Unicorn for the US, and I haven't found anything suitably British...yet.

I have yet to decide if I am going to put Balkenkreuz on it or not. Certainly a WHOLE BUNCH of 1/72 aircraft "no step" and "Caution" decals. Anything else I can find that looks like it'll fit, too.

At the end of the day, I REALLY enjoy building these kits and just letting go and having fun. It is certainly helping keep my sanity while I build a 1/700 FlyHawk DD.

Wow, I've enjoyed the two Gundam kits I have built but I never thought of real life camo. So if I did Olive Drab over Neutral Gray, would I do the whole front in NG or just the legs????

I'm personally not a fan of Anime in general--and have watched a grand total of 76 minutes of Gundam in my 45 years on this planet. That being said, I LIKE big robots, and building armor and plane models, and in these (cheap!) kits, you get to combine all aspects of your modeling skills. Great fun.

Here's what it was supposed to look like in the OOB colors:

They do make a refreshing change and add a little colour to the shelf. Only ever built a few as they're not easy to find in the uk.
I built a lot of 1/72 WW2 armour a few years back so have a lot of spare decals to use. For some reason I'm imagining the Guncannon in US Army OD and the Guntank in a British desert caunter camouflage.
Will see what I can do if I can dig them out of the stash.

Looking forward to seeing more of your builds.

Painted, decaled (like 150 of 'em) and sealed. Curing now, and next stop is weathering.
