Well, the Revell/Fine Molds Falcon runs about $230. And $100 plus for lighting and other upgrades that come with the Bandai kit and suddenly $380-$400 starts to make sense.

From what I have seen so far I think it will be a limited run of kits and might be limited to the Japanese and possibly American markets which is going to make it far more expensive for people in Europe to purchase it, especially when you add on customs tax etc.

Personally I think this one is out of my price range

I hate "limited run" kits. Revell is doing that with their reboxed Zvezda star destroyer and it's going for about $120 plus shipping. I can find the original Zvezda kit for about $70 plus shipping. Same kit why the price hike? Why the "limited run" aspect? Can you guess which one I'm ordering? It will come out of Russia so it may take a bit of time to get here but that will still be sooner than Revell getting around to releasing theirs.
