So, I finally finished something, it's been 4 years since I completed one. Be gentle on me.

My Ewald Stargrazer's Backstory:
Before Dantooine was evacuated and abandoned many of the Green Squadron X-Wings were cleaned up and repainted during a lull in the fighting. This was done to give the Empire the impression that they had much more equipment than they actually had (think the Flying Tigers during WW2 repainting their spinners).

So this is what I did with a Fine Molds 1/72 X-Wing. The only decals used from the kit were the cockpit and stencils. The green stripes were masked and painted. Because the Fine Molds panel lines were so fine, I went old school and used a sharped mechanical pencil tip to get as many as I could see. Some were lost due to paint buildup (only primer and color coat). The wash towards the engines is oils mixed to come close to the shade of the pencil lines.

I have two more of the Fine Molds 1/72 and one of the 1/48. Started on the next one already, this will be done as Biggs Darklighter's Red 3.

Figured I'd get these worked on before the Bandai Star Wars campaign (have 3 of their X-Wings too.
