At the moment I am building the ICM Mercedes L3000s.
Two questions turned up:
1. The Eduard etch set doesn’t completely fit since according to the instructions there is quite a difference between the intended Italeri and the ICM interior.
What is the reason? Various production lines during the war?
2. The rwo parts which holds the doors (left and right) need to be glued to the backside cabin wall. This creates two seams. Were the visible at the real truck or do I need to fill them and sand them away?

The biggest reasons for the differences between the Italeri cab and the one by ICM is that Italeri have reused TOO MUCH of their Opel Blitz kit. The L3000 was NOT an Opel Blitz masquerading as a Mercedes. The Mercedes L701 was an Opel clone though ...
For what it might be worth: I checked a Büssing-Nag 4500 kit and the back wall of the cabin is divided into three parts, one big almost flat one and two corners.
I suspect that this was common practice with cabin builders since it is easier to press/stamp a large almost flat part than trying to add rounded corners.
