I found a 1/12 scale resin binoculars for my Bandai Sandtrooper plus they have some nice resin weapons too,has anyone ordered from Shapeways?
The website looks legit but best be on the safe side.

Thanks in advance.

I have a few times. They're generally very good and Shapeways is perhaps the only website that sells unique 3D printed items.

Do check the items you purchased for completeness and print quality. If anything is missing or not printed correctly, Shapeways usually will reprint these items if you take a photo of them.

I usually get the SMOOTHEST (Best) print quality which is clear translucent. I don't really bother with lower qualities (like blue or white or black plastic) because you can see the print lines.

Shapeways isn't fast. It usually takes about a week or over to print and ship in the USA.

Prices go up after New Year's so ensure you buy in 2018.

Yep no problems ordering from Shapeways, delivery times can vary and for the UK the items come from Holland or at least mine did (set of TIE fighters for the Revell Star destroyer and a blockade runner)

Heya, Karl,

What Shapeways "store"/seller did you purchase the 1/12 macro-binoculars from?

I'm looking for a set for a Bandai Sandtroop,r and alas, Shapeways' search engine is not very good and have not been able to find them yet.

Many thanks!

With Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner in the 2018/2019 'Understatement of the year(s)' contest, Johnny B!!

Their search engine is ABYSMAL!! even KNOWING the exact name of a product does not mean it will come up at the top of the search queue, or even in it at all.
Heaven forbid looking by scale or a key word.
Go ahead and search IDF 1/35 in either order as a test.

Knowing the producer or store name helps somewhat.

Anyone confirm that Shapeways raised (or lowered) their prices for 2019?

Theyre supposed to be, but it hasn't hit yet. New uploads have been subject to the new pricing since oct/nov.... but no word exactly when the pricing change is gonna hit apparently.
