Hello,

I've got Fujimi's 1/24 Bladerunner Police Spinner currently on it's way to me and I would love to get some figures to sit in it.
Anybody know if a set or single figure is available?
It would look really odd displayed in flight mode without Deckard flying it!

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Stephen

your best bet would be to ask on the clubhouse or starship modeller forums, I do seem to remember someone over there mentioning them.

I don't know of any in 1/24 scale...I believe that there are a few.

There are options for 1/22 and 1/18 scale though.

Thanks, you know I had totally forgotten Starship Modeller had a forum. Hope I can remember my login!

Shame Fujimi didn't include a figure. Even an anonymous policeman would have done the job.

There are also driver figures in this scale that would need a little modification.

I've got a 1/24 build underway...sort of a pet project. It's a future cyberpunk/blade-runner styled bar scene using alot of the MasterBox 1/24 figures. It actually began as a Borderlands influenced theme but has shifted to cyberpunk. .

There's a few seated drivers in the Trucker Series that could work for the basis of a conversion. There's also a good number of filler figures to flesh out a scene. That 1960s imagery in the classic pinup and short stop figs should work with some of the imagery of BladeRunner. Also, the scantily clad figures work well for conversions.

I hope that helps.

Thanks everyone.
I may have to resort to adapting what's available. Masterbox certainly do some fun looking figures!

I'm hoping the kit will arrive in the next day or so, so I'll have a better idea of what I'd need and can fit inside it.

A diorama would be great and it had crossed my mind. Even had the idea of having Doc Browns DeLorean parked in a side street! The Spinners were reused in filming BttF II so why not?

Would be cool to see your build Alex, do you have a build log here?

Found them! I believe these are what you're looking for. I'm not sure if they're still in production as you'll have to ask.

Peter, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks.
Doesn't look like they are still available, but it gives me a name and manufacturer to help with the search.

I am photographing the build but won't post any thing until I am about half way through. That will give me time to settle in on ideas. I tend to change things up in my builds as I go. I do plan on posting it here and over at Modeller's Haven Online.

Hi Stephen -

A while ago, I started and nearly finished a Bladerunner-esque dio in 1/35. I enjoyed the build - but eventually needed a change of pace! It has lots of figures/buildings etc, which required collecting all sorts of out of the ordinary figures, at the best prices I could fun - like the "closeout" resin "man/woman walking/sitting/thinking etc" for $7 was the type that I sought out and modified as needed - the title is:

Like, but not the the Baderunner

Its posted in the dio section on Armorama - I tried to include link, below:

https://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=246554&ord=&page=12

Maybe it will be of some interest or use for you!

Looking forward to seeing what you build!

Cheers

Nick

Nick, that is really cool! I'll have to have a proper look through all the pages at your build but I like it!
You really nailed that retro futuristic style that Bladerunner has.

I've just seen that HLJ do have a set of seated Deckard and Gaff figures for the Spinner, but they're out of stock and on back order. A bit pricey but looks like my only option, assuming they get them back! I'll place an order and see. Failing that looks I'm cutting and resculpting.

I'm thinking of getting the other two cars from Fujimi's line. Deckards seems to be difficult to get hold of, but can be built from the police groundcar boxing which is easier to find and cheaper. Just a simple case of painting as most of the decals in the Deckard kit are for markings that were applied after filming and not screen accurate. At least according to reviews. The scenes are so dark it's hard to tell!
I think those kits would definitely benefit being placed in a diorama setting. A good opportunity to sneak the DeLorean in.

It's arrived!
And what a beautiful kit it is. Really glad that I finally got one.
Despite the box art it does include screen accurate decals and a really nice PE fret of the Spinner badges. It would be nice to add some lights, especially the bank of lights on the roof but I think it would be very difficult and beyond my abilities.

I plan on doing a build log in the near future. Just need to clear my workbench of a few projects first.

Thanks again for the help and suggestions.
