This is my Bandai 1/72 Star Wars (Resistance) X-WING repainted and markings for service in the Galactic Alliance. Fun build... lost the original BB Droid so had to source a different one from another kit... thankfully, Bandai usually gives 2 per kit in their recent offerings - just not the one I built

While I'm not a fan of the newer design, I like what you've done here. Really like the color combination and weathering.

Very nice job on it.

What material did you use for the effect on the base?

Thanks for the comments - the "new X-wing" design actually grows onyou as you work on the kit... lots of decals (if you use them all) for the stencils and "panels". The scheme came out better than I expected...

I built up the kit's base using the Tamiya Snow Texture paint. First time I ever used it and it is fantastic to work with and the results are convincing. It goes on like a paste - "fluff" with an old brush and then let it cure. Dries rock hard... glistens too!

I first saw the product from a fav youtuber... he built the Bandai AT-AT and used the product for his DIO.
