Building the Mk-1 Ironman
Building the Mk-1 IronmanThe build starts off funny enough with opening the tin, where upon where you are confronted with two resin and twenty two white metal parts.
The main body is resin with the other parts to be attached white metal. No instructions come with the kit, but by looking at the pictures on Knight Models website (of which there is several different angles) I managed to get the parts in the correct locations.
After I had built the figure I decided it would have been a good idea to photograph the model with the location of the parts. So with this in mind I created a "set" of pictures with arrows pointing at the location of the parts, which I hope someone will find useful.
All the parts connect very easily with the help of C.A glue, but one piece on the back needs to go on first. The small elongated part, which holds the armoured bum flap (can't really think of what else to call that part lol) goes on before the main large back part, as the larger part has a protuberance which will otherwise get in the way of installing the elongated part. I found this out the hard way and had to un-attach everything.
I also found gluing the figure to the base helps with the painting process, as it gives me something to hold.
