1⁄1000Freighter USS Antares

This is the SRS Productions 'Antares' from the remastered episode "Charlie X".
This was a sweet little kit that popped together so easy I did it in a weekend. The kit is pretty much built stock. The only mods I made were adding the deflector spike (from a spare PL engine part) and replacing a few domes with Wave H-eyes. I also added a few additional decals such as the warp pylon grills, and the red wedges and red pin stripes on the top front of the square mid section. The animated series freighter had these, so I thought it added to the enhanced design.
I took it to IPMS Three Rivers [in 2008] as a fun little conversation piece. I was pleasantly surprised when I won a bronze medal with it.

Really nice looking model. Guess you don't have to worry too much about aerodynamics in space.
